The Trip
The Leh Ladakh bike trip takes you through some of the most scenic valleys, rivers and meadows. Start your drive from the heaven on Earth, Srinagar and end in the land of high passess, Leh. Srinagar is the summer capital of Jammu Kashmir which is famous for its exquisite culture, lovely lakes and houseboats also known as Shikaras, top quality silk handlooms and delicious Kashmiri fruits and delicacies. On the other hand, Leh the capital city of Ladakh has many important monasteries, Gompas and museums scattered around. The high altitude capital has a beautiful backdrop of beige and snow capped Himalayas. The Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri, Zanskar Valley, clear blue freezing waters of rivers and lofty dry desertlike terrain is perfect for rough drives and biking experience.
Itinerary
Day 1
Your day one begins as you reach Srinagar, collect your vehicle and local sightseeing, meals and head back to your accommodation. The accommodation depends on the type of package you chose. There are options that offer a night stay at the houseboats. Enjoy the beautiful sunset by the still Dal lake and the mountains surrounding it.
Day 2
The next day is when you will get to ride the Royal Enfield Himalayan bikes.set off to the coldest spots in the HImalayas from Srinagar to Kargil. Enroute you will witness the epic Drass Village, which is believed to be the second coldest place in the world. Spot the Tiger Hill enroute and eventually reach Kargil. The distance you have covered in this journey is roughly 200 kms, approximately 5 hours on the road.
You will travel to get to Lamayuru. Sightseeing enroute Lamayuru includes Basgo Palace and the well known Lamayuru monastery which is quite ancient and oldest which holds a significance in Ladakh. Carrying on, witness the Buddha statue in Mulbek, the Indus river showing every shade of blue in the Zanskar valley. For an adventure, you can choose to river raft in this river and make memories at the highest river rafting spot in the world. Learn something new at the famous Hall of Fame which displays memoirs of the Indo-Pak War.
Not to miss out on the Magnetic Hill where your two wheeler can defy gravity while riding uphill.

Day 3
Wake up with a fresh mind as the Ladakhi sun rises for the day. This is the leisure part of your journey where you explore the local tourist spots, try out local delicacies, explore the region’s culture and interact with the friendly locals at local Leh market. The popular must see local tourist spots include; Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Jama Masjid, Tsemo Monastery, Gompas etc. the Leh palace is an ancient establishment which was built in the 15th century during the reign of Tibetan rulers. The palace is partly converted into a museum showcasing the palace’s and Leh’s history, heritage and lifestyle. Do not forget to try out the traditional Tibetan Thukpa, momos and Ladakhi butter tea.
Day 4
On the 4th day of the Leh bike trip, give yourself a challenge for the day as you set out to explore Nubra valley and drive at the highest motorable road of Khardungla Pass. The road to the Nubra Valley from Leh is filled with stunning breathtaking views. The Khardungla Pass connects you to Nubra Valleys and Shyok village. Experience the thrill of driving at 18,000ft with an awesome valley view and take in the feeling of being on the top of the world at Khardungla Pass. as you drive further towards, you will witness sand dunes at Nubra Valley. Camp under the starry sky on Himalayan desert.
Day 5
Finally, last but not the least, the last stop in your biking trip, Pangong Lake. depart from Nubra Valley and visit the high altitude saltwater lake Pangong Tso located at the Indo-China border. The lake is surreal and spreads more than100 kms out of which half of it lies in China.
Return to Leh the next day with a bag full of adventures and everlasting memories of biking in the mountains.
