What can I do to fix the problem of the problem of no bootable device Please restart No Bootable Device Toshiba Laptop

To better understand the problem, please let me know if you’ve made any recent hardware modifications to your computer prior to the issue.

This problem could have happened because of these reasons.

1. Because of damaged hardware.
2. Boot files that are corrupt or have incorrect settings that are corrupt.

Try these steps and test if they work.

Method 1:

This issue could be caused by the first boot device you choose to boot from is not configured as the Hard Disk by BIOS. I suggest that you examine whether Hard Disk if set as the first boot device. If so, do it is not changed in to Hard Disk. To enable the same, you will need to talk to the manufacturer of the computer.

If your computer isn’t booting after making Hard Disk as first boot device in BIOS, I’d recommend setting DVD as the primary boot device before trying the next method. In order to set it, you will need to talk to the manufacturer of the computer.

Important: Changing BIOSor complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings improperly could result in serious issues that could hinder your computer’s ability to boot correctly. Microsoft does not guarantee that issues arising from the configuration of BIOS/CMOS settings will be resolved. Any modifications to setting are your responsibility.

Method 2:

Once DVD is set as the primary boot device, I’d suggest checking whether you are able to boot the computer using Windows 8 Installation or repair disk. If you’re able to boot your computer using Windows 8 installation or Repair disk I’d recommend you follow these steps and determine whether it is helpful.

Step 1:

I would recommend you run a check disk with WinRE and see whether it is helpful.

1. A) insert the disc like (USB or DVD) and then restart the computer.
2. B) Use the F12 key (typically it’s F12, however it could differ between the different computer makers) and select the drive to insert your installation disc into.
3. C) When Windows Setup window appears, click on the Windows Setup window appears, follow these steps:
4. D) Click Next and choose Repair your computer.
5. E) Then you will get a blue screen with an option to select.
6. e) Select the option Troubleshoot and then select Advanced options.
7. F) Click on Command Prompt.
8. G) At the prompt for command, enter in ‘chkdsk/r” and then enter.

Important: When performing chkdsk on your hard drive, should any bad sectors be identified on the drive, when the chkdsk attempts to fix that sector, if there is any data could be lost.

Step 2:

I would recommend that you do an automatic repair using Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
